On Saturday night, Pioneer's women's volleyball competed against the University of Antelope Valley. The Pioneers pulled through with a 3-1 victory in an exciting 4 sets. The scores were as follows: 25-15, 20-25, 26-24, and 25-21. This match was the team's first conference win of the season, as well as the first conference win in years. Izzy Bandy had an impressive 18 kills and 4 blocks. Melisa Lopez finished the game with 38 assists, and 10 digs. Maddox Snider lead the team with 4 service aces. Max Paredes had 14 digs, Ryin Le with 13, and Olivia Newman with 12. The team looked very cohesive as they fought hard to win each set. As conference play continues the team is excited to come off of this win into their next few games. This week they will be competing against Park-Gilbert, Embry-Riddle, and Benedictine Mesa.
