Women's Soccer Win's 3rd Conference Game!

The Lady Pioneers took a trip down to Southern California in hopes of getting their 3rd conference win in a row. They traveled to Aliso Viejo to take on Soka University of America; kickoff was at 11:00 AM with clear blue skies and around 75 degrees making it a beautiful day for soccer.

The Lady Pioneers' confidence was high coming into this match after an 8-0 win over Cal-Maritime, which showed as just 13 minutes in Bella Cervantes scored thanks to an assist from Oluwabukunmi Babatunde. The Pioneers held a tight defense as they ended the 1st half 1-0.

PUC came out strong as they continually pressed the Soka defense until the 74th minute when Caitlin Raymond took a shot from distance and scored into the top left corner to make the game 2-0 in favor of the Pioneers. They would play tough defense against Soka to finish the game 2-0, giving the Lady Pioneers their 3rd conference win in a row.

Caitlin Raymond recorded 2 shots on goal, and Bella Cervantes and Ruby Douhan both finished with 1 shot on goal.

The Lady Pioneers will now host Westcliff University on October 6th, kickoff at 3:30 PM.
