The Pioneers welcomed UC Santa Cruz to Pacific Union to play their 6th game of the season. The weather was around 85 degrees with clear skies and a light breeze.
Santa Cruz came out quickly as they scored their first goal in the first minute of the game. The Pioneers would fight back but the score would end up being 3-0 at halftime. Santa Cruz would then go on to score 2 more in the second half to make it 5-0 at the final whistle.
Leslie Tamayo, Verenia Gonzalez, and Olivia Jesse all recorded 1 shot on goal. The Pioneers hope to go back to the training ground and continue to improve before their conference season begins on September 16th against Embry Riddle.
The Pioneers will play at Holy Names on Wednesday, September 7th.
