Lancaster, CALIFORNIA - The Pioneers made a trip down to Southern California to play against the University of Antelope Valley in a CalPac matchup. The Pioneers were coming off of a 6-0 win and a 2 win streak and were hoping to extend their win streak.
The Pioneers came out with multiple shot attempts but were unlucky not to score any. Antelope Valley would go on the counterattack and score their 1st in the 33rd minute by UAV player Armando Galvan. It was a close matchup in the 1st half and UAV was leading 1-0 heading into halftime.
Pacific Union would have some more shot attempts but UAV would score their 2nd in the 63rd minute by David Jerez. UAV would again score another goal to make it 3-0, goal by John Garcia. Pacific Union goalkeeper Jake Hendricks ended the game with 7 saves. Yellow cards were given to Pacific Union player Humberto Lujan and UAV player David Jerez.
The Pioneers will play their 2nd game of their Southern California trip against La Sierra on October 22nd. Kickoff will be at 9:00 PM PDT under the lights.
